Even as the real estate market in the U.S. as a whole as taken a tumble over the course of the past couple of years, there have been islands of prosperity that have thrived. It is important to bear in mind that reports on the U.S. real estate market that you might see on your favorite news channel document “averages” that crunch scattered figures together into one easy to handle bundle. Certain real estate market segments in discreet areas of the U.S. have continued to remain resilient, even in the face of a declining economy.
Less Costly – Less Maintenance
In many areas of the U.S. and most notably Miami, the market for condominium housing has managed to stay afloat and this is for a number of reasons. For one thing, when compared against homes in any given area, condos will tend to be far more affordable. Also, condos lack the maintenance requirements that a home will tend to have, which makes them more desirable for a busy person that doesn’t have the time to devote to maintaining a homes exterior.
Community Ordinances
Another plus for condo owners is that there are rules and regulations that all owners in a complex must abide by. These are similar to the types of regulations you would find in exclusive gated communities, but without the million dollar price tags on the homes. These community ordnances assure each member that they won’t be stuck living next to someone that has turned their backyard into dog kennel or a junk yard.
New Areas Devloped
The Greater Miami Florida area has seen building boom over the past two decades that has had Miami condos sprouting up in areas that many long time Miami residents would have never imagined. For instance, condo development has brought renewal to the downtown area after prime areas along the beach front became completely developed.
New Areas Targeted for Future Miami Condo Developments
This in turn has led to even these areas becoming so developed, that there is literally no room left to build. So now Miami condo developers are looking to new areas such as Little Haiti and Overtown as new firtile ground for tomarrows condo developments.
