I would like to know about living in Miami Florida?

I am looking to relocate over to Miami and have to small children aged 2 and 4 years old, I was looking into areas such as coral Gables, but have no idea about any of florida especially not the schools, and whats it like to live out there, is it safe for families, do you see mothers with strollers, and does it have playgrounds for kids and is it friendly, I would like to know about the public and private schools so any help and pointers would be great before I make a decision.
