Where to Go to See Snow?

My entire family of 35 is looking to take a vacation to try and see snow next december. We live in Miami Florida and Palm Beach Florida and need to find somewhere in driving distance. I know the chances of seeing snow are slim and we need to be in the mountains but we need to find somewhere in the Southeaster States. If you know of any good ski resorts that will in crease our chances?
