Best vacation spot for young couple in Southeast U.S? (Orlando/Miami too far)?

I want to have a 1-2 night getaway with my boyfriend this weekend, some place peaceful but fun if we desired it. We are in Atlanta, GA so I was hoping we could drive somewhere within 6 hours from us. I originally thought the best place would be Hilton Head in SC which is only about 5 hours away, but when I was checking out the website, it seems like it caters to 40+ ages. We are in our early 20’s and don’t really care about going to nice restaurants or golfing. We would either want a place with lots of nightlife, or a nice resort to stay at and spend all of our time. Didn’t seem like there were many resorts at Hilton Head. Are we going to be forced to go to Florida? Is there anywhere else good to go? Destin? Myrtle Beach? Any hidden treasures in GA? Thanks!!!
